Ski Touring in Davos Klosters
Discover the Davos mountains away from the pistes
Fresh powder snow, snow-covered side valleys, impressive peaks and the unique tranquillity of the mountains: Ski touring is one of the most beautiful ways to experience winter in Davos Klosters at its most authentic.
The region offers ideal conditions and an exceptional variety of ski tours. Beginners and leisure-oriented ski tourers will find easier routes, while experienced ski tourers can choose from more challenging ascents, longer day tours and a wide range of rewarding summits.
The area around the Flüela Pass, the Sertig and Dischma valleys, and the routes towards Monstein, Frauenkirch and Klosters offer numerous attractive touring possibilities. The best route always depends on the current snow, weather and avalanche conditions.

Guided day ski tours
From Christmas to Easter, guided day ski tours are offered daily in small groups. The destinations change regularly and are selected by the mountain guides according to current conditions and the participants’ abilities.
Tours are available at different difficulty levels, from easy and intermediate to challenging. Groups consist of 3 to 7 participants per mountain guide. Last-minute bookings are possible until 4 pm the day before.
The starting and finishing points vary depending on the tour. In many cases, the meeting point is at 9 am at Davos Dorf railway station.

Private ski tours
Those who prefer a more individual experience, or who are already travelling as a family, with friends or in a small group, can book a private ski tour with a personal mountain guide.
The route, difficulty and schedule can be adapted flexibly to the participants’ experience, fitness and wishes as well as the current conditions. This makes it possible to plan everything from a first ski touring experience to more challenging summit objectives.

Safety and equipment
Ski tours take place in open alpine terrain. Snow, weather and avalanche conditions must therefore be carefully assessed before and during every tour. Essential safety equipment includes an avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel.
Anyone with little experience in alpine terrain or assessing avalanche conditions is advised to join a qualified mountain guide and can gain valuable knowledge for future tours at the same time.
Ski touring and safety equipment can be rented directly from the Go Vertical mountain sports shop in Davos Dorf.
